Case Study

Inter-Generation / Homelessness Mediation

Alliance Mediation Management Limited works with families to enable them to live together in harmony or to be able to support each other in their desire to live apart.

The Office of the Deputy Prime Minister (ODPM) released a document in December 04 entitled Homelessness Statistics September 2004 and Delivering on the Positive Outcome. It talks about preventative approaches to homelessness and the use of mediation as a way of helping families and friends to either prevent homelessness from occurring or allow more time for a planned move.

Do you or your staff understand how mediation works and what it can offer in the way of preventative work or long term benefits to reduce homelessness?

Alliance Mediation Management Limited is offering you the opportunity to find out more from one of their courses on General Mediation Awareness including an introduction to Inter-generation / Homelessness Mediation to enable staff to understand the benefits and the process of mediation, especially homelessness mediation, and be able to recommend mediation with confidence.  Contact us now for more information.

We have considerable experience of working with families in conflict and Peggy Nicholls, one of our mediators and trainers, was the mediation manager for Broxtowe Borough Mediation Service till May 2005 where she helped to develop the use of mediation in the council’s homelessness strategy.

The ODPM chose Broxtowe Borough Council in March 2005 as a Homelessness Regional Champion, acknowledging their success at reducing homelessness in the area.

If you have challenges with inter-generation / family conflict why not contact us now for an objective view on the way forward.

Need a Mediator?

Alliance Mediation Management Limited employs fully qualified and competent mediators and we undertake mediation cases in pairs so that the residents are both listened to and the comments noted.  In each pair that we employ the lead mediator would be qualified to Mediation UK competency standards.  All our mediators are Criminal Records Bureau checked.
