Mediation Training
Alliance Mediation Management Limited offer tried and tested Mediation Training courses not only for front line staff but also for supervisors and managers. Mediation Training will enable them to deal with conflict and anger and improve relationships.
Free Mediation Awareness
A half day training to understand the benefits and the process of mediation.
Basic Mediation Skills
A one day training course designed for Housing Officers, Community Officers, Anti Social Behaviour Officers and people dealing with the public so that they can apply the benefits of mediation to their everyday dealing with clients.
Mediation Skills Foundation Course (Accredited by NCFE)
The Mediation Skills Foundation course uses case studies, simulations, group exercises, demonstrations and trained mediators to portray clients for practical sessions and will cover the following:
- Conflict, culture and mediation
- How Mediation Works
- Personal Skills and Qualities of a Mediator
- What Mediation Can / Cannot Do
- Active Listening, Building Rapport
- How to deal with difficult behaviour
- How to set up, manage and run a mediation session
Mediation Skills Advanced Course (Accredited by NCFE)
This course if taken over three units and all students entering this training course need to have:
- Completed the Mediation Skills Foundation Course
- Taken part in support, supervision, and learning development activities during a
practice period of 4-
6 months - Be able to produce evidence of mediation casework with clients* and completed a minimum of five mediation cases. *[It is essential that client confidentiality be preserved within record keeping].
- Experience of at least one face to face mediation (actual or simulated) within the past two years.
